I may look all smilly and happy everyday
but in truth, I'm not.
That is just a mask that I made so no one had to worry so much,
and behind it, I'm crying.
Twise I had my dad taken away from me
to a place that I couldn't follow.
Now, there is someone who really reminds me of my dad,
and he has become part of my makeshift family.
Today instead of being at home with his wife,
and two daughters,
he is over in Iraq again.
(Crap this sounds really familar...)
I'm here crying again for a person that I barely know,
yet I feel as if he was never a stranger.
My best friend is now hurting, and so is everyone else.
I never thought that one of my friends would have to go through this
like I did,
but my best friend is.
I just want to run over there and just hug her and everyone else and well
never let go.
I know for a fact,
that he will come back, yet
it still brings tears behind my mask
to think of the pain that everyone is going through because
they care so much for him,
and I do too.
